Startup funding leads: every new SEC Form D filing, daily

When a startup or private company raises money under Regulation D it must file a Form D with the SEC within 15 days of the first sale. About 1,000 operating companies (not funds) file one every week. This list comes straight from the SEC's EDGAR system and gives each company's amount raised and still to raise, industry, year of incorporation, number of investors, exemption, business address and business phone. Investment funds can be filtered out, and the names of executives, directors and promoters are never included.

Free to try: Apify's free plan ($5/month credit, no credit card) covers about 3,300 records a month. After that it is $1.50 per 1,000 records.

Tips for a better list

Keep the pooled-fund filter on to drop hedge, PE and real estate funds. Add a minimum offering amount (for example $1,000,000) and the new-companies-only switch for true startups, then run a 1 to 7 day window daily and dedupe on the accession number.
