New business leads: new LLCs, corporations and business licenses by state and city

Every new company leaves a public record: a Secretary of State filing, a city business license, or a sales tax permit. These lists turn those records into a spreadsheet of businesses that opened in the last few days or weeks, which is the moment they are shopping for insurance, banking, payroll, bookkeeping, a website, signage and equipment.

Each list below reads one official open-data source. The table shows what each source covers, how often it updates and what it costs, so you can pick the one for your territory, or use the all-in-one New Business Filings USA tool to pull several states in one run.

How to choose and filter

Filter by NAICS industry code where the source publishes it (for example 722 for restaurants, 23 for construction, 531 for real estate), or by words in the business name. Use a short date window (7 or 30 days) so you only get the newest filings, and a ZIP prefix to stay in your territory.

Who uses these lists

Frequently asked questions

What is a new business lead list?

A list of businesses that were recently registered, licensed or issued a permit, taken from an official public record. Each row is a business with its name, filing or license date, type and business address.

Which source is the freshest?

Secretary of State and city license datasets that update daily (New York, Colorado, Connecticut, Chicago, Philadelphia) give you filings from the last day or two. Texas sales tax permits update about weekly and Oregon publishes monthly.

Do the lists include emails?

No. Government filings do not publish email addresses, and the tools do not guess them. You get business names, addresses and, where the source publishes it, an industry code, which you can enrich in your own CRM.

How much do the lists cost?

Between $0.90 and $3 per 1,000 records depending on the list, paid per result. Apify's free plan ($5 a month in credit, no credit card) covers 1,600 to 5,500 records a month.
