Move Perplexity research into Notion or Obsidian
Obsidian (free)
- Export threads as Markdown, using the built-in per-thread export or a free bulk exporter.
- Drop the .md files into a folder inside your vault.
- Add YAML frontmatter (title, date, tags, source URL) so Dataview and search work well. Some free exporters add this automatically.
Notion (free)
- Export threads as Markdown or DOCX.
- In Notion, go to Settings, then Import, and choose Text & Markdown or Word.
- Put the imported pages in a database so you can sort them by date or topic.
Keep your Spaces structure
Mirror each Perplexity Space as its own folder (Obsidian) or database (Notion), so research stays grouped by project.
Want to export everything at once, as PDF/Word/Notion? ThreadVault, our upcoming Chrome extension (disclosure: we make it), does bulk export with Spaces kept as folders. See ThreadVault
