Default Field Values for Jira — Documentation
Default Field Values for Jira by Loomwise sets default field values per project and issue type, so new issues start with the right values every time.
What it does
Defaults per project and issue type. Choose a project and an issue type, then set the values new issues should start with.
Pre-filled Create dialog. Jira's Create dialog opens with your defaults already filled in.
Board and backlog too. Issues created from the board or backlog get their still-empty fields filled right after creation.
Works with both company-managed and team-managed projects.
Setup
- Install Default Field Values for Jira from the Atlassian Marketplace.
- A Jira admin goes to Apps > Default Field Values.
- Pick a project and issue type.
- Set your defaults: labels, components, priority, assignee and custom fields.
- Click Save.
Users stay in control
Defaults are a starting point. Users can still change any pre-filled value before or after creating an issue.
Security
- Settings are admin-only.
- Data stays in Atlassian storage.
- The app makes no outside calls.
Pricing
Free for up to 10 users. Above 10 users, the app is billed through Atlassian.
